KATHERINE MATSUMOTO, FNP-BC

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Katherine is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She received both her Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees from the University of California, Irvine. She began her career in health care working as a caregiver for the developmentally disabled, where she was first given the opportunity to demonstrate compassion and patience. She then worked at U.C. Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California in a medical-surgical department, juggling roles between a floor nurse and charge nurse. She also acted as the head chair of her unit practice council. 

Katherine feels that the patient-provider relationship should reflect that of mutual respect, collaboration and trust.

Personal:

Katherine enjoys dedicating her time to the under-served community through medical mission trips and community service. She has had the opportunity to serve in places such as Western Samoa and El Salvador. Katherine enjoys hiking, yoga, cooking, and spending time with her family.
